Best Campout Ever!!!

This weekend I want camping with the Kowicki's. It was in a town called Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, and was about a 6 hour drive. We got there and right away there was trouble. So, there were four campsites of Puerto Rican people, I'm guessing they were all family, or friends, and then right next to us was a white family of 3, the kid being about 4 years old. Apparently the night before we got there, the Puerto Rican people had been really rowdy and loud at 2 am, and the guy next to us called the cops on them. Then the day we got there, he came over and said he was going to go to the showers and he said that if anything weird went on with the Puerto Rican people, to call the cops. Nothing went on, so we went on eating dinner. After dinner, the white guy got into a verbal fight with one of the Puerto Rican guys. His wife pulled him away and made him get into the car. They drove away quickly, running over some of their belongings. They came back about and hour later, with 3 ranger vehicles. The white guy gets out of his car, goes straight over to the Puerto Rican guy and starts throwing punches! It was GREAT!!! There were so many people! It was so eventful! I loved it. Anyway, that was the highlight of the camping trip.

So, also, we went kayaking. Twice in one day actually. Katie and I went in a two-person kayak. Let me tell you, my arms were burning. That night, my left arm was aching so badly that it kept me up half the night. I had to massage it! The hard ground and the cold also kept me up, but I fixed the ground problem (kind of) by laying on my pillow, and the cold problem by putting on my hoodie and getting in my sleepiing bag.

We rode a train, and it was really cool. We saw a tunnel through a hill that the train used to go through, and it made me want to take a train cross-country!

The car ride there was so cramped! Katie and I had to sit completely on the seat, like our feet couldn't be down or anything. But it was ok. I also read most of my "Luxe" book, it's so good!! I love that series.

I have to go to the doctor's on Thursday, to get a mole removed, and to get a TB test so that I can do my clinic hours. I really hope Victoria's Secret calls me. I want to get money so I can buy a car. I want my own so badly! Dancing at the Bohemian is this Saturday! And a fire with my friends is on Friday! This weekend should be super fun :)

That's all for now.

I'm blue da ba dee

So, I'm home for the summer. It's only Wednesday, and it feels like this week is going by so unbelievably slow. I hope the whole three months doesn't go by this slowly. I'll die if it does. At least I'm trying to be active this summer. Today, Katie and I walked around Parma going job hunting. I ended up only applying at one place, Chuppa's Fruit Market, but I also have applications for American Eagle and Victoria's Secret. I still haven't called the Flowerama people back, I think I might wait a little bit until I turn in all of my applications. That might not be the best move for me though. While I was walking, I guess we walked past Mike Niedetzki, who was one of my summer mistakes-ish. I guess we'll see how that goes, I'm not sure if I'm going to hang with them or not. I'm thinking not.

Today, I finished my book that I've been reading, called Rumors. It's the second in a series about the late Victorian era. I really like them. The ending was super depressing, and that sucks because I've been feeling so blue lately. I'm pretty sure it's hormones though, so it's okay. Since I've finished that book, I've started re-reading "The Importance of Being Earnest". I'm excited to re-read it. I also requested a lot of books from the library. I'm hoping to go up there a lot this summer and read some childrens books like a creeper lol.

I really need to find some student loans. I don't know where to look or anything. It sucks. I need to SEARCH! I've also been searching for the bathing suit of my dreams. I've found two, and both times they've been either out of stock, or cost $120, which sucks!

So, I just had a deep-ish conversation with my mom about boys, and curfews, and how I think she should be more lenient, and how I never really felt comfortable talking to her about stuff. But now that it's all out, I feel a bit better, and not everything is all stuffed up in my brain just waiting to come out. Now I can feel like we have a normal close-like mother daughter relationship.

I cleaned out my closet, and need to keep cleaning out my room to sell stuff at a garage sale. I'm selling my stereo too, which should bring in some good monies. This summer I think I'm going to really practice my flute, and maybe pick up the guitar again. I'm not quite sure. I just don't want to sit around on Facebook all day, or watch TV, or sleep. I got really mad at dinner when my sister was ranting to my parents about how I'm "addicted to Facebook". Yeah I'm on a lot, but I'm not addicted....and I hate when people say that I am.

I want to find out what day we go back to Wooster for band camp....like really bad. I also need to start going to the clinical observations. I need to get a dumb TB test, blah. And I'm getting a mole removed. I'm not too excited about it, but might as well get it out of the way.

Katie and I watched a movie from 1940, it's called "His Girl Friday". I'm not really sure what the title has to do with anything, but it was entertaining and I really loved it.

I've been finding really good videos on youtube lately. Two of them are of this little Korean kid singing Beatles songs, and they're so cute and funny! And this other one is of a ninja cat. I don't know, I think it's just hilarious.

Ryan Sayles said he'd be my swing partner for this summer, let's see how that goes....lol

Ok, I think that's it for now. I'll probably keep up with my blogging since I'll probably have nothing else to do all summer. Toodles.

Time flies, flies eat fruit?

So, I'm leaving Wooster in 3 days. This has been the fastest school year ever, and supposedly they go even faster as you move up. I really don't want to leave. Yeah I miss my family, my cousins, my friends, my kitty....but I'm going to miss everyone here too. I'm getting really sad, especially when I see Gordon because it's going to be a long 3 months. We'll get through it. I'm starting to pack, and I've found letters that were written to me by friends, and I'm getting very nostalgic about them. I really like my room, and I really like my roommates. Of course, I'm rooming with Arielle again next year (and Katie too!), but Julia's pretty awesome. I'll miss her. And I'm definitely going to miss my RA, she's so awesome! Also, my senior friends from swing dancing. They're leaving and it probably won't be the same without them. We're going to keep carrying on traditions though, and I can't wait to be a big part of the "Let's Dance Society". I also can't wait to start dancing with BW kids again. Goodbye 2008-2009 school year. I'll miss you for sure.

I'm still not sure if I'm going to be studying abroad, but my friend gave me a good point. She said that by the time I've had another two semesters in Wooster, I'll feel comfortable enough to leave. Who knows.

I've been watching the Indians games. I really like watching them in my dorm. Katie and I also had a baseball party complete with Cracker Jacks. She's really awesome to me, and I'm going to really try to do a better job doing the same from now on.

Gordon read my last blog about marriage and death and all that stuff, and he wanted to have a deep conversation. I love having deep conversations. He said he wants to wait to get married, which works for me. Who even knows where we'll be when he/we graduate. I'm just a dreamer....daydreamer. My mom also hinted that she would be heartbroken if her grandkids lived in a different state. It made me laugh. Not the heartbroken part, just the part about her assuming-ish about me and Gordon lol.

I'm done with finals, I just have to finish this project that I have to do for Visual Text, which is designing an "I Love Lucy" resturant. It's ok I guess. I got a 74% on my Spanish final, which is pretty good for me. I'm not sure what I got on my other two, I just have to wait.

I've really felt like reading lately. I've also decided that over the summer I'm going to walk or ride my bike to the library and read a bunch of the children's books. It will help for my major (ish), and also bring back memories. I'm going to be doing a lot of reading over the summer.

Speaking of the summer, I'm going job hunting. I kind of really want to work at Chuppa's, which is like a fruit market on the end of my Papa's street. I'm applying at a lot of places. I also need 25 observation hours in a Speech-Language Hearing Clinic. I've got most of that figured out.

My DVD player was being really dumb today...I hope I don't need to buy a new one.
I also found a really cute video of a Korean toddler singing Hey Jude, it's the CUTEST THING EVER!

I can't wait to live in Babcock and set up my room. I'm going to have a shower curtain as my closet door. Whoopee! I think that's all for now...

I'm excited and sad at the same time. If I think of more, I'll write it later. And I'm gonna keep writing in this blog through the summer, then start a sophomore year one. I didn't realize I wrote so much :)

Oh! I've started writing down things that bug me about society. It's in a notebook called "Society Annoys Me". I haven't really written much in it, but it might go somewhere. Also, when I was cleaning out my stuff, I found a story that I started writing during first semester finals. I re-read it, and it was actually pretty good. I think I might expand on it eventually.

This is my favorite picture of them both.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

I've been really caught up in thinking about the future, so I thought I'd write it all down.

First, I've been thinking about marriage a lot. I know I shouldn't be, I'm only 18, but what girl doesn't think about it? I mean I'd like to get married young, maybe almost right out of college. I know of some people who are already engaged, mind you they're seniors, but still. I love watching shows like "Say yes to the dress" and thinking about going to Kleinfeld Bridal in New York and trying on my dream dress. And oh, looking at rings in jewelery shops just gets my imagination flowing.I don't think being in love is helping me to not think about marriage either lol. I also don't want to scare a certain someone off with my idea of marriage. It's not like I'm proposing or anything, just daydreaming. Secondly, my Dad probably wouldn't be the happiest of people if I wanted to get married right out of college. He says I should get a good job first, and not move anywhere. He wants me to stay in Ohio, which I'm not complaining about, but what if....

There's also the kids thing. I want to have 3 or 4, so I'd have to get kickin! Haha. Baby names are always fun to think about too. Jack, and Lucy, amongst others, are my favorites. This blog would freak my parents out if they saw it. Haha.

Along with marriage comes a house. I know a lot of people who have just bought their first house, and it's so exciting! I was just looking at all of the flowers outside today and was thinking "I'm going to have so many pretty flowers outside of my house". My house will be completely amazing. I think Katie wanted to live with me right out of college. I'm up for that, as long as I'm not married lol. Oh geez.

Then there's the job. I would love to be an SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital at University Hospital. I'm going to try to make my in during the summer and so on with maybe a desk job and some clinical observations. That's my dream hospital. But who knows where I'll be living.

I think the last thing I've been thinking about is death (not like suicide). The past couple of nights it's popped into my head, and has hindered my sleeping. I mean, death is probably the thing I am most afraid of. Anytime I really start thinking about it I get knots in my stomach and I just hate it. I'm afraid of the uncertainty of where my soul will go, what the point of my life is anyway, what it will be like. I'm not afraid of it happening quickly, and when I'm young. I'm afraid of getting old (which I don't want to happen, I want to stay young forever), and knowing it's coming and not being able to do anything about it. Everyone around me crying, holding my hand. It sucks to think about it, and I hate it when it comes up in my mind.

I think my future is bright. Only money problems might hinder me, I hope not....ok, I want it to stop raining now.

Don't fall asleep in the sun...

Well, right now I'm supposed to be writing a paper about intervention for a little boy named Payton. But I dont' really feel like it, sooooo.....Blog!

It's been a little while. But I guess I'll start with the fact that I'm pretty sure everything with Katie is completely bandaged up and healed. I'm very happy, and I can't wait for next year! Oh yeah. We got into Babcock. At first we didn't cuz Sangeeta sucks and lost our applications, but we kicked and screamed and were "first on the waiting list" and got right in after room draw. Luckily there was a triple left, and we are now the proud owners :) It's gonna be amazing.

I'm really really liking my CSD classes and can't wait for next semester classes. I'm doing clinic observation hours at University Hospital this summer to get them over with, so I don't have to do them during the school year. Hopefully the lady will e-mail me back soon, otherwise I'll have to call her.

I don't want to leave Wooster. Half of it is that I don't want to pack up all my crap. The other half is that I don't want to leave all of my friends and Gordon. Yeah, some of them I'll be able to see over the summer, but ugh! I'm gonna super sad. And that leads to about 3 months away from Gordon. I've done one month, and I survived it. But I think I'm growing much fonder of him lol. Over the past four weeks, either of us has been gone for a weekend. And this weekend was the worst. I don't know why, but it feels like I haven't seen him in forever and the longing is just killing me. I can't believe myself. At least I get to see him in a few hours. I'm just hoping for the best during the summer. Skype will probably become my best friend. Oh yeah, 6 months on Tuesday <3

Arielle came home with me for Easter, it was pretty awesome :)

This weekend was beautiful. I finally got to wear my new shorts. I love showing of my long legs in my short shorts :) It was great. Arielle and I decided to nap outside on Friday and we both got sunburned. I have a nifty sunburn line on my legs because I was sleeping on my side. It's pretty funny acutally. Alyse came over for the weekend on Friday too. We watched a movie and played a game, and then she got sick (in my bed...ew) then she went home. I was kinda sad cuz I wanted her to experience college life with me. Oh well, there's always next year. A bunch of us went to the Ethnicity Fair at the Wooster Fairgrounds. It was fun, and I got a Canada temporary tattoo. I also spent $11 on fries, lemonade, and cotton candy. Awesome!

I'm so glad baseball season has started. I love the Tribe!

Oh, and AWESOME RAVE LAST NIGHT!!! I danced on a chair. It was AWESOME!

05 April, 2009

I live for hyper funness

So, last night was our ILP semi-formal. It was pretty awesome. Arielle, Katie, and I did the decoration shopping, and also the decoratING minus Katie. We built an Eiffel Tower out of aluminum foil. It was pretty amazing, not gonna lie. There was nutella, pretty good music, and lots of supa-fun. Not to mention Spiderman was climbing the Eiffel Tower lol.

Also, last week was a trip to the Bohemian with out BW friends again. Gordon was in California, so I went alone. I danced so many times. It was so great!!! And even if Gordon wasn't there, I found a 6'5 dancing partner anyway ;) Old guys danced with us, one liked the smell of my gum? And I had a really sexy blues dance to heartbreak hotel with Nick from BW. It was AWESOME.

So things between me and Katie have patched up. I'm thinking they're almost completely healed. It's great. I'm really happy, and I hope she is too. Gordon and I are just trying to hook up Katie and Ben though....lol we'll see how that goes ;)

Um, Oh! I'm now officially a Communication Sciences and Disorders major! Aka CSD. I also love Wugs! They're a part of a test to see the grammatic production of children, or something like that lol. But they're so cute! I'm gonna get a Wug shirt!

I ordered a pair of cat eye sunglasses, like the stars in the 50's wore. I'm so excited.

I had to paint a superhero for Visual Text, her name is Lucille Viven and she's a super swinger.

Flowerama called me yesterday to try to get an interview in. I told them I won't be home till May. They said they'd call me back. I don't think I'm going to get a call.

I'm going to the Indian's Home Opener this Friday. I'm super excited!

So at Breakfast the other day, I was talking about something CSD, and how babies have sucking pads and their tonguse are forward for optimal feeding. And then I explained how the sucking pads eventually go away, and the tongue moves back so they can start talking. Later I must have said something rude to Joe or something, because he comes back with "I hope your children's tongues never move back". Hahaha

There's probably more, but per usual, I can't remember. Arielle is pretty hyper. We made her get coffee. Not the smartest move, but it's funny :)

Trayless weekend in the cafeteria! It's not too bad.

I'm out girl scout!

My Boyfriend was Snogged!

I'm in the middle of trying to finish a "Hard" sudoku, and I decided I'd take a break to blog.

Today is I.S. Monday. The day when all of the Senior's Independent Study papers have to be in. It's a day full of drinking from 8 am, and partying all day, along with a parade through Kauke Arch. It really was quite eventful, and it was a beautiful day for it as well.

Speaking of drunks...I was at the parade with Katie, Arielle, Joe, and Gordon amongst others, when our friend Meredith marches past. She's drunk off of her ass, and Gordon reaches out to hug her. She say's "I'm sooooo drunk", and proceeds to kiss him on the cheek. I'm like "whatever"....and then again "I'm sooo drunk". This time, full on the lips...I was like "oooookay then..." My jealousy has come back, not that I was jealous, because she was drunk, I saw it coming. I'm just miffed, that's all. Gosh!

But anyway, I'm completely all cuddly lately and I don't know why. I like it, don't get me wrong, but it makes me miss him more when he's not here. He's going home this weekend anyway. I better prepare...lol

Spring Break was awesome. We hung, watched movies, shopped, visited people. It was nice.

We have to fill out housing forms and such for next year. I'm getting pretty darn excited. The only thing is, Katie has been snappy with me a whole lot lately. It makes me really sad, and I think it makes Arielle uncomfortable. I just want us to be happy, and I kind of understand why she's snappy, but I just wish it would all go away.

Only 6 more weeks left of school :( I'm super sad.
